Textual Anylasis of our film

In our film we used many different camera shot and camera edits in out films

We used a high angle shot when he was sleeping to portray his venerability when he was asleep. The high angle shot also shows what the character is doing and what is around him eg the beer bottles, After this we used a close up on his face to show his expressions and the scars on his face from the night before. We than used a low angle shot as he is walking down the corridor to show that he is now in control than the high angle shot when he looked venerable. we used an over the shoulder shot to make it seem like the audience was there watching from behind him, but during the mugging scene we used a long shot to show what is going on in the scene and what is around him.

We used very quick edits when he is getting ready because people can see what he is doing so it does not have to show the hole scene it just has to show a small scene of it.

On the opening film we used a black and white filter to bring forward the genre of a crime film which adds mystery to the opening, Also with the titles being separate from the film on a blank slide like lock stock shows the titles more clearly than running over the film because it doent not distract the views attention but the font used on the titles is to go along with the genre of a crime thriller.

CSI Miami Intro

Evaluation

The opening we made goes along with conventional methods of a real media product, of how it opens by showing the main character and introducing the main story plot alongside the main character. Also many openings contain music related to the genre; we also added music to our opening which is conventional in many openings. The story plot is a guy owes a lot of money to the mob, who kidnaps his wife as ransom, and he must go on a mission to find his wife and get her back. This is one of the main plots of many thriller films

Our media product in the opening  has a stereotypical young lower class males and a young lower  class adult. We stereotype the young teenagers who are wearing hoods and who enjoy violence. We portray the young middle lower class man as a man involved in drink and drugs which covers over many young people and teenagers, also with the revenge story plot is what most adults want to do.

The media intuition who might distribute our media product would be universal pictures because it is studio owned by vivendi universal. which means it has big studios which means it produces big budget films, also they specialise in producing and distributing crime thriller films , such as Miami vice, Hannibal + the bourne films and even smoking aces, However our film looks like a low budget from the opening but as the film carries on it starts to get a bigger budget with gun fights and car chases.
We are targeting people who like crime thriller films and who are between the age of 16-24.  Also crime thrillers films are liked by by a wide range of people, most crime thriller films cross over different genres such as action or horror so it might attract people who like action films which has the biggest demographic audience.

We attracted our audience by creating a storyline in the begging to draw in the audience to watch the rest of the film, The opening only gives a bit of the storyline by the flash backs which makes people want to see the rest of the film because they want to know why? did that happen  How, What, when, and what happened so the opening would catch there attention.
In the project i have learned how to use I movie, how to place and cut up clips and add effects to the film to give it a better look and it also helped put forward the genre by changing the colours, i also learned how to incorporate text over the film to create titles and have them move across the screen, i also learned how to link i tunes to i movie to move music into the film for a soundtrack to play over it, it also showed my how to edit a track to get a certain part of the song for a certain part of a clip.

Looking back on my preliminary task i feel i have learned a lot, the preliminary task it showed me how to use the basics of camera shots and edits with the high angle and low angle shots. plus the 180 degree rule used in the prelim nary,  But from this i have learned more from the final product on how to use match on actions in the right place. We used the 180 rule To help orientate the viewers ,  Also from the prelim nary task i fell i have learned to identifier flaws in the films, Also i learned how an over the shoulder shot is used to its full effect on the film even though we didn't use it in our preliminary task but it turned out well in the final product. With the camera i learned how to frame a shot so it comes out well in the recording by putting the right items into the shot eg: the bear cans, I also learned about camera movement because we used it to follow the main character through the house while the camera stayed in the same position.

In our film we all helped in the planing of the opening and the storyboards and a story plot but in our opening my role was playing the main character who gets beaten up by the teenagers,
